on the side of the road....

Found this old beauty on the side of the road in Snohomish.  The kids and I got of the car to take a look and ended up talking to the owners (George and Frances).  Frances got a kick out of my daughter being a Frances as well...we chatted a bit and they told me the dresser had been in the garage since the early 1920's.    I also flattened out some old jello molds to go with this buffet.  This beauty is currently for sale at the vintage angel company in Fremont, WA.  If you see any items on my blog you would like to purchase, please shoot me an email or give me a ring.. fransar studio.

Remember this?....Yep, used the doors too!

Deciding what to save and what to toss can be tricky...especially when you like to use leftovers like me.  I decided to keep the doors adding to my large collection of junk.  After finishing this little shelf awhile back I made some art out of the doors.

trunk'in it

A simple o'l trunk turned red!  My adopted mom(visiting us from Illinois this week) and my son pained this trunk while enjoying the sunshine we had.  I can't thank you enough Retta for helping me with the kiddos, helping me get organized, giving some great ideas, paint, finish a million loads of laundry, cooking  some amazing french toast and bringing some amazing old car parts that will be put to use very soon!  We miss you so!

fitting the pieces

Shopping at a thrift shop ages ago, I came across this vintage library bureau.  It had no top or bottom but it had charm...I have been holding on to it waiting for the perfect set of legs to come along...and found them! This fabulous typewriter table made the match.  For the top, I cut some old bed slats that were waiting to be used.  Thank you to my fabulous adopted mom for helping me piece it together! Love you!
This is available for purchase now and will soon be at Vintage Angel Company.
I believe in the imagination. What I cannot see is infinitely more important than what I can see.
